Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers regarding statutory registration, training programmes, and member privileges.
1. Is the School of African Traditional and Natural Medicine formally registered?
Yes. The School is fully incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Formal institutional accreditation and recognized diploma curriculum tracks with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) are actively being finalized.
2. Does joining the Association automatically give my herbal products NAFDAC approval?
No. Membership in the Association provides guidance, audit preparation, dossier review, and access to approved facilities, but each commercial product must formally undergo independent statutory NAFDAC listing and laboratory evaluation.
3. Can beginners with no previous herbal experience enroll in courses?
Absolutely. Our "Fundamentals of African Traditional and Natural Medicine" track is specifically structured for beginners, apprentices, and community health enthusiasts to gain structured, practical competency.
4. How do members access the Association's shared manufacturing facilities?
Eligible, vetted members in good financial standing who have completed our Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) hygiene module can schedule production runs in approved extraction, compounding, bottling, and packaging facilities.
5. How do I verify if a traditional practitioner is genuinely registered with the Association?
You can search our official online Directory by practitioner name, state, or registration ID (e.g. ATNM-LG-0142). Every active member carries a verifiable credential ID card and framed Certificate of Membership.
